History and Photography: Pasts Photo Lab

History and Photography: Pasts Photo Lab

 The aim of the Pasts Photo Lab is to introduce students to the theory and methodology of employing visual sources in their research. To this end, the Lab organizes short modules and courses on photography in order to:

1) introduce students to the theory of visual studies and the history of photography;

2) endow students with the necessary transferable skills to produce visual content using DSLR cameras or their mobile phones (photos or videos); and

3) offer technical assistance to students who wish to create visual content (e.g. a photography portfolio) for their capstone project.

The Lab works closely with the CLEO ERASMUS+ Programme “Cultural memory in Europe: Commemoration, memory making and identity in the 21st century.”
